    *  Continue to Plant Deciduous and Evergreen Trees and Shrubs

    * Plant Bulbs in Your Landscape – there is still time before the ground freezes!!!

    * For Winter Interest Plant - TREES: Chinese dogwood, evergreens, Harry Lauder’s walking stick, hawthorn, Japanese maple, Japanese flowering apricot, lace-bark pine, red oak, serviceberry, stewartia, white ash, zelkova. SHRUBS: barberry, beautyberry, boxwood, Cornelian cherry, crape myrtle, euonymous, holly, mahonia, nandina, pyracantha, red and yellow twig dogwood, sweetbox, daphne “Carol Mackie”, viburnum, winter-flowering jasmine, bittersweet, winterberry, witchhazel, evergreens. VINES: Boston ivy, purple wintercreeper euonymun. ANNUALS: ornamental cabbage and kale, pansy, primrose.

    * Plant Winter Hardy Plants in Window Boxes Now that summer annuals have faded, continue to enjoy these miniature gardens during the cool months of the year by replanting with viola type pansies, ivy, primrose, mums, ornamental cabbage and kale, and miniature conifers.

    *  Protect Roses during winter by mounding coarse compost, leaves, shredded bark, or soil around base; remove in early spring. Ground cover roses do not need this protection.............
