This spectacular garden at Samarate was designed by Plant-A-Plant Company. An enclosed 100’ by 120’ garden was created, modeled upon historic Virginia gardens. The 7’6” stepped brick walls are reminiscent of the walled gardens at Mount Vernon. Stepped terraces softened by plantings lead through gardens and lawns which are just a precursor to the multi-faceted gardens within the walls.
